A new issue of Archives of Internal Medicine (12 March 2007; Vol. 167, No. 5) has published three studies by NPCRC Scientific Review Committee members.
Two articles feature work conducted by James A. Tulsky, MD, 1) Behind Closed Doors: Management of Patient Expectations in Primary Care, and 2) Efficacy of Communication Skills Training for Giving Bad News and Discussing Transitions to Palliative Care.
The third article, Toward Shared Decision Making at the End of Life in Intensive Care Units: Opportunities for Improvement, is by J. Randall Curtis, MD.
